Ok i was lookin around for a car to go off to scholl with next year and my 240sx is staying here to start rebulid. But was lookin for a cozzy 4 door car when a friend told me i should look at Q45s but i really dont like some of the Q45s as much as i like the J30. Well i found some in my area and was lookin at them and saw thay got hella wheel gap like the 240 does and would look much better 1-1.4 inchs down. Well where can i go to look for parts for a J30 as in Springs/shocks/Bushings and also so what Nissan/Infiniti wheels look good on a 94/95 J30? Cuz i really dont like the wheels thay come with and last but not least what stuff should i really look at when i go to test drive/buy a used J30?

Thats all Thanx Charlie

The J can be had for pretty cheap. The Q45 will out power it at any given time, but IMO the J looks better. But it seems around here that it's either love or hate with the styling. Either way, I think it's much more 'pimp'. Not much back seat room that you might need as you go off to college ;)Struts/shocks are expensive on the J, but check with the Infinitipartsusa.com sponsor for prices. You can have custom springs made that lower it from http://www.coilsprings.com I had springs made there with a 1.25" drop and a slight spring rate increase of 20%. It will wear the stock shocks quicker, but it doesn't get driven that often anyway. Looks real good. Check member's ride pics for what it looks like.

I also recommend checking into an I30. Around the 96, 97 years. Those can be had cheap as well and are a strong car with the VQ30DE and have a large interior with a strong aftermarket force behind it.

heh, he probably order shocks. Expensive even when discounted. I'll have to pull out my receipt for the spring but it was under $300.

Yes. Yes it is. Maybe three times more expensive than the common autos. $220 quote for the labor and $100 for alignment. Not cheap but thanks to Joe, as low as it goes. Can't wait! Looks like Nov 3 is the date. The J will handle like new! :ylsuper

I've never heard this. And honestly I don't believe it. Who's the dealer and who makes the springs.

I say custom springs because that the only way to get the J lowered without cutting the coils.
