I'm suppose to meet the guy that owns it in a couple weeks to look at it, and was wondering If there is anyone in the dallas area with enough knowledge to be able to look at it in person and see if its a good car to have or not. It will be my dd, and I don't need a car that someone didn't know what they were doing and messed it up. So anyone that could come with me and look it over that knew more about it than me would be great. I will greatly appreciate any help that can be offered, and will reimburse you for your time and effort if you come look at it with me. Like a meal or something on me.

NICO is an internationl forum... Try asking here:http://www.dallasimports.net/

I'd do it, but I know little about SR's. I know just enough to dislike them.

I'd keep the Z if it were me. It's a much less whored out car with far higher quality.

Its an N/A with 180,*** miles on it

Hints why the trade will be worth it.

The rod threw a bearing so he his putting a newer one in the car, just waiting on it to arrive. He said he is looking for money, I asked him if he was interested in trading for the z and he said that was his next project, the reason he wanted the money. I'm giving him extra wheels, tt spoiler, japanese headlights, custom rear quarter window inserts. I had the clutch and hydraulic clutch system replaced just last year, and I'm putting a z1 one-piece driveshaft in it for the trade.

I also have been wanting a turbo car real bad, and since it would cost 5,500 to do it my z, it is much cheaper to trade for one.

Why you say that? Please explain any help is appreciated. If you see my cars, I'm obviously more of a muscle car guy, but that car is a show/race car, I want to get into turbo'd engines, nissans, and have a cool daily driver.

I've always felt that in this day and age, where small displacement import cars are breaking 300hp with ease, the Z32 needs VQ power.

or

Put some turbos on it if you want to...

my question is, who would trade an sr20 swapped s13 for a 2+2 na 300zx?????? that is a huge downgrade for him. something gotta be wrong with the car. 2+2 = ugly a** body line, heavy chassis, constant injector issues, crispy wiring from bay heat and weak v6 na power output.... i hate 2+2 na's, at least yours is 5 speed, its your only saving grace. i would trade in a heartbeat, but i have my doubts on the quality of his car.

2+0 z32 = sex, na or tt.

Poke around on the Z32 board. From what I hear, the 2+2 is the best handling model. Put a strong motor in it and you're golden.

I think many ppl like the s chassis more because it's lighter. But the Z's stronger chassis is much more developed than ours and is able to handle high power output as a result. I mean, Z32 was a rival to the Supra and the Corvette for christ sake! The 240 was a rival to... what? V6 Mustangs and Camry's?

We can turn our cars into something really nice, nowadays. But the Z has a better starting point and just as great potential, IMO.

me too dude. this guy seems to be gettin the better deal. i think someone wants a b**** and your tryin to help him. in all my experience ,people that are ready to trade their car off are tryin to get away from some major repairs. could be wrong but probably not! still yet which car do you want to work on because the outcome for you is still the same. you're gonna be workin on it. i like the one that i work on all the time because thereis very few surprises.

id rather have the slicktop-

while chicks dig t tops; its prone to leak (and i would imagine heavier w the extra chassis bracing needed

id take a basemodel 2 seater any day

either vh swap or RB it

ive been a member on 300zxcclub just a bit shorter than ive been here, research done lol. ive wanted a z32 forever, and ive read that 2+2's handling is much better with the longer wheelbase, but i cant get over the obtrusive body line to make up for the backseat. i always get depressed when i see the tank door behind the rear wheel lol.

How about this one?

Selling my 93' s13 240. Bought the car in august 2 years ago, kept it stock until march this year when the head gasket on the old motor blew. Replaced the engine/transmission with a red top sr20det., bought locally in richardson form JDM enginecorps. The swap was done by prodigy auto sports in south dallas. Chassis has 120k miles on it, engine has about 4k. I've been driving it since may with absolutely no problems other than my inner tie rod snapping. Car is FAST and gets around 22-25 mpg if you drive it sanely. I've upgraded or replaced most of the things on the car at one point or another, here's a brief list:

Red Top SR20DET w/ approx. 40-50k kilometers on it XS power intercooler Aluminum intercooler piping Q45 ignitor chip Greddy BOV Walbro 255 fuel pump Generic turbo timer New coil packs New NGK R plugs Changed alternator New oil pan New CAS Monroe Shocks Replaced both inner/outter tie rods w/in the past year Enkei 16" rims w/ pirrelli tires in back and goodyear in front Oil Changed around 1k miles ago Battery relocated to the trunk Type-R vacuum gauge/ Sunpro oil pressure gauge in pod Pioneer CD player with ipod cable wired to the center console Infinity 5x7's in the doors, pioneer 4x6's in the rear Kenwood 1000w amplifier Kenwood 12" sub in Q-Logic box Registration purchased this month, good until next year, inspection not due until november

NO PS/AC, sorry. Car has its share of dents/dings Rear ended about 4 months ago, bent the bumper No real exhaust, just a downpipe, but reactive exhaust will be included to whoever buys it

The car may not be the prettiest on the outside, but wouldnt need much more than a few days of body work and a new paint job to make pretty again. Runs like a friggin champ, and I'll be willing to let anyone with cash test drive it. If not i'll be happy to take you around in it. On to the trades.... The ONLY thing i'm willing to trade the car for are sport bikes. I'm getting rid of a fast car, so I can get a fast motorcycle. Nothing older than 2002. Doesnt have to look good, just has to run.
