Destroyed ANOTHER deer tonight, clipped one about a month ago, was working on piecing the car back together, and BOOM. Killed another one. I will probably be parting out, or selling the whole car.

2007 Sapphire Blue Hatch, 4speed Auto, 40k miles. Black interior, PW, PL, PS, ABS, Keyless entry.

Damage or ruined parts:hoodboth headlightsBoth fendersfront bumperDrivers side air bagRadiators (both) coolant and another smaller oneSupport bracing between headlightsDented drivers side door from the first deerSmall dent on DS Apillar from first deers head.

Windshield looks to be perfectly fine, ill check on sunday when im off work during daylight hours.

Would anybody be intrested in the whole car? Or should I just start parting it out?

Couple pics, ill get better ones on sunday.

Right now im intertaining offers. Ill get into it tomorrow and see what the extent of the damage is.

If you want the whole car, It wont have a title. Ill show all the info that I am the owner, but Ill have to work for awhile on paying off the rest of the loan.

Yes, my dumbass had liability on a car that I owed money on.

Car is near St Louis, in my driveway.

Kolk1, you might want to check if your lien holder had insurance to cover you. Some have comp and or collision to pay off the balance on the financed vehicle.

I hate deer. I don't know why they even restrict hunting at all. The stupid Bamabi moive generated too much public support. Cows are much cuter than deer, but I happily eat both.

Just curious though... How did the lien holder allow you to carry a loan without having collision coverage? Many banks will force place coverage. I know this is done wiht homes. An automobile is also a secured loan. If it wasn't rates would be more like 10-21% instead of 5-8% (not counting loans subsidized by the automakers).

Sorry about your bad luck.

I'm interested in 2 wheel covers. E-mail me if you still have them. [email protected]

No idea really, they asked for my insurance card when I bought the car (liability) and I just swapped it over to the Versa and kinda forgot about it.

You mean the hubcaps? Id have to see if I still have them, I took them off about 2 years ago. One fell off on the highway right after I bought the car, I went back and picked it up, then put on a old set of universal 4 lug rims I had laying around from a honda.

Nobody wants a engine/trans/full parts car? Im only asking 2 grand so I can buy my buddies EXTREMELY clean 79 280zx.

At least with that Z, you'll be able to pass right under the deer legs compared to the Versa height.

I was out looking at it today. To drive it, it would only need a universal radiator. Besides that, just a way to hold down the hood.

Ok, just did a one over on the car. Took all the broken stuff I could quickly pull out, out of the engine bay. I will clean out the car soon, vacuum and so on.

I have all the panels for the hatch, just never got around to putting them back in. I also have the tray that goes behind the seats.

The only items I really want to keep thats in the car right now, is the front door speakers, sub box, and 2 amps. I dont care about any of the rest.

Heres a bunch of pics I just took.

On a car only in it's 3rd model year, you may find there are not a large number of people needing new engines and trannys...

except for maybe this guy zerothread/382293-my-2008-versa-needs-a-new-engine

I have no problem buying the car. I am only worried about the title issue. What would happen if I want to get rid of the car befor you pay it off. + with buying a car and taxes and all that jazz I am not sure if I want to mess with jonny law. If you can find a solution to this issue I can get you the money anytime.

Well, I bought a new DD driver today, EXTREMELY clean 280zx, with only 60k miles, funny since my versa has 40k.

But I think im going to keep the versa, and repair it as I have the money. Since mechanically it only needs a radiator and a fan, I can get that done pretty soon, then start working on finding, Hood, fenders, headlights, and a bumper. Not worry about the door and A pillar since its not hurting anything being damaged. I think I can repair it for just a couple grand, and then im not out paying on a car I still owe money on. Sorry for everybody thats interested, but I think its the best thing for me, to try and fix it.

On a side note, heres my new almost 100% mint 79 Datsun 280zx.

Your idea is probably wisest... I would watch that Apillar dent to make sure it doesn't cause leakage problems in your port window. (hmmm since it's on the left, it'd be a port port widow....)

I agree with you. Over here you have to have collision on a new vehicle. Unless of course you paid for it with cash and it is completely yours. But if you are making monthly payments (whether it be financing or leasing) the dealership will not want you to not have collision coverage. What if something happened to the vehicle and you didn't have collision? The dealerships do not want to deal with that. It does make sense though. I wanted collision anyways because it is a brand new vehicle. My previous car was old and wasn't worth much so there was no collision on it.

I would seriously contact your insurance to verify your coverage. You don't even need to tell them about the collision, just ask what your coverage is.

I can't see a lender EVER letting a car they own (yes, they own it) go without full coverage.

My mom had a fiasco maybe 8 years ago where she had two cars insured. One was about to be paid off, maybe 2 weeks after her insurance renewal and it was going to be parked (POS Ford Tempo).

The other car, she still owed on. Well, in that 2 week lapse, she rolled the car that wasn't paid off. She thought she'd have to keep paying on it, but found out that the lender automatically imposed (very expensive) daily insurance that covered from the day her coverage lapsed until she either reinstated the insurance or in this case, it crashed.

In the end, the lender's insurance totalled the car and my mom walked away with $500 for the totalled car.
