As my professional opinion on doing this is that it's a fairly bad idea, but I'll ask anyway.

My main and rod bearings are still in really good shape, no excessive wear, but there is a little dirt embedded in one or two... Is there any reason I couldn't clean them up and reuse them?
Maybe polish them with some 3000 grit sand paper? I donno.

I just gotta get this motor back together and get the car back on the road, and unfortuantly bills come first, so the cheapest path is what I gotta take.

I was planning on some ACL or King bearings, as they're pretty cheap, but it's still $80 that I don't have right now. lol
