Ok here's what's going on. I have an axle back exhaust. I'm looking to get a custom midpipe done because I can't find any online for my car. I was told to shop around. I went to a well known shop in the area and was quoted about $500 for the pipe. Mind you, I spent VERY little on my axle back exhaust when I got it to avoid such a ridiculous cost. I was told by several people I should be able to get the job done with taxes around $107-$110. I'm guessing shops that do it that cheap are using cheap materials? The shop I went to explained they're using quality products, but TOLD me $500 was too expensive for the pipe itself. Atleast they were honest.

Anyway. Can someone help me out? Are there midpipes available to purchase? Can I get it done custom for around $200??

If the short answer is "no" I'm just getting a powerpup and lightweight pulley. Perhaps I'll throw in $50 to get a tb spacer. Eh why not.

Thoughts?

im tellin u right now- the pipe is as straight as its gonna get coming out of ur exhaust manifold/header. ur axle back is just a bolt on muffler to oem spec.

in fact- ur OEM 'midpipe' is one piece till it gets to ur muffler. dont bother, or go custom for mad cheaper. money spent at this point is better suited for w/e u want. u could feasibly get a louder tone, but remember nothing over 3.75'' has been good for the car or backpressure.

get the headers and bullydog gt dont waste ur money w/ a popwerpup. pulley- do it up. kthx :D

I already have the header.
I don't want to go cheap because you do get what you pay for.
I'm going to shop around a little more because I've heard that custom midpipes are easy to come by and are rather inexpensive.
If not, I'm just getting a pulley and tune and calling it a day.

Next car is a muscle car for sure though!

Not a vette fan although I like they way they look. It's a personal thing and I would never get one out of respect for my family. They're fast though of course.

The 5.0s are nice!
If I had to choose right now and today I would go with the 3.7L Mutsang or 3.6L LS Camaro. Why?
I'm a fan of the actual engines! I literally read up on them and their respected forums daily. Tons of mods available for them. Easy to boost and keep gas mileage. N/A mods are great! You can get the Camaro from 315HP to 380HP with just a few basic mods. IE long tube headers add 30HP as proven in dyno results. The Mustang is great too though. Runs the 1/4 in 13.7 bone stock. I could just imagine it boosted. Both cars have GREAT transmissions whether you choose the manual gearbox or automatic. I mean for cryin out loud, the mustang uses a GT suspension now, and because of it's lighter weight out maneuvers it's bigger 8 cylinder brother the entire time.

I'm also 21 right now so I wouldn't want a monster v8 until I'm 25+ since insurance is already pretty hard on me. I think I fell in love with RWD when I used to drive my ex-gfs TT300ZX. I love Nissans but I want to drive domestics before I get too old.

But I can't complain about the car I have now. I got it when I turned 19 and it was free so y'know. I took it!
