Yo's,

Can a mid pipe make my sedan sound more like the coupe? All I'm looking for is a nice sound and don't really care abt the performance. Would getting a new mid pipe be an alternative and cheaper method as opposed to getting new exhausts?

As you guys already know, I don't really know much abt mods and such. I have asked for some recommendations on exhaust in the past, but maybe getting a mid pipe is cheaper?

Thoughts? Does my question even make sense?

yes and no..

its never going to really sound like the coupe...its the coupe muffler that gives it the unique sound. The midpipe is def. going to make it a little louder and add a little drone in the cabin. But, it will make it sound a little deeper and little more aggressive. A good thing. I say GO FOR IT. I know i liked the sound better when I was rockin' the middy.

Has anybody here done the switch on a 07/08 G??

I have on 05 (traded), but wonder if the 07/08 SEDAN mid pipe is the same as the 05. (don't know if the wife will let me take a wrench to her 08 yet either)

I dont think you guys have noticed that our boy here has a V36 model G. The coupe midpipe wont work. Its for single exhaust. You have a complete symmetrical dual setup with the G. Look under your FX and then under your G to see what I mean. The FX is identical to the V35 model coupe for comparison. For your G the best thing to do is buy a pricey aftermarket exhaust, or buy some small mufflers and have them custom welded where the factory mufflers are to free up some sound.
