Microphone not working

I have 2015 Rogue SV with Premium Package. The microphone for the voice recognition/bluetooth calling has stopped working.

1. No one can hear me when I make bluetooth calls.
2. Voice recognition does not work

Did I accidently mute the microphone or is it dead? I checked the manual and reviewed all the settings but cannot figure it out. I wanted to see if there was a quick fix before I take it into the dealer.

I'm not aware of any settings that would cause the problem you've described. Sounds like a defective unit to me.

Hi- Wondering if this was resolved for you. I have a 2014 Rogue and the same thing happened. On 4th visit to dealer they replaced it but now after about 1 month it is no longer working.

I have not taken the car in yet to be looked at and it recently started working again. I noticed that the microphone seems to work when the outside temp is in the 30s. This winter has been brutal and I am wondering if sub zero temps have something to do with it. Any thoughts?

The dealership has been pretty stumped by this. It started out as only an intermittent problem but grew in frequency until it stopped altogether. They tried some sort of an update but finally replaced the microphone. Its been about a month and on 2 occasions it has not worked so I suspect it will all happen again. I live in Massachusetts and have wondered about the weather too but the problem started in the fall. I have asked if it is possible water is getting in and slowly doing damage. I called today and the point person is going to contact the nissan techs and have them do some research. Very frustrating problem but I was kind of glad to see someone else having it too. I can update if we make any progress.

Along the lines of moisture getting in...do you have a moon roof?
