We have a new law that requires hands free cell phone use so I set up my 2009 G37X with bluetooth. Some people say the quality is not too good and when I turn my head to look for oncoming traffic they lose me. I called the dealer and ask where the microphone is so I could talking more directly to it but they did not know. He just said, "center console". Does anyone know where it really is?

I was wondering the same thing..the first time I used it ['10 G37x, Navi/Premium] I thought i had to 'speak up' for anyone to hear me..i was literally screaming..but the folks on the other end couldnt hear a word i was saying..all static on their end, so I thought it was junk...i then realized that i needed to only speak at a normal level and now the calls are smooth and static free...so does anyone out there know where the microphone is?? :gotme

Some people say I sound like I'm "in a tunnel" or "underwater". I had a BMW 5 series before this G37 and the sound quality wasn't much better. I have a friend with a Lexus LS and the sound is great when he calls me and when I ride with him. You would think, in 2010, with all of the other technology we have, that a simple speaker system should be easy to perfect.
