Hello All,

Really new to the forum, but enjoy reading many of the posts. I purchased a 2008 G35S sedan in August of last year and the time has come to purchase tires. It appears my best bet is going to be the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Has anyone purchased these tires recently or heard from friends about wear and performance?

If someone knows of another comparable tire definitely let me know. I live at the beach so I do not need an A/S tire. Quiet ride and handling are big for me. My Goodyear Eagle LS2's sound like I am driving a Jeep Wrangler!

I have a brand new set on my brand new wheels waiting for warmer weather. I have used the ps2's and those were insane. The general consensus is that the super sports are even better, last longer & cost less. Triple win!!!

I watched a set of them in action last year during our annual trip to Tail of the Dragon and he was able to keep the paces with my ps2's...

- take a look over on tire rack and check out the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... 44YR9PSSXL I know you weren't too particularly interested in Summer / Performance tires, but these may work. I purchased a set late last summer, and while i have only put about 3K on them, they are a very nice ride and not "Church mouse quiet", but they get the job done, and well.. I'm not only saying this, but the reviews show they have a fairly good rating when referencing their noise comfort (8.9 out of 10).

On the down side, yes, they are hella pricey for 19's. But you'll get good wear out of these, and you get the added benefit of having a Max Performance tire. Either way good luck with the search.

I put a set of PS2 on my BMW about 3 years ago and they have been nothing short of outstanding. I just installed a set of PSS on my G37 a couple months ago and they are even better. I'll save the detailed review since these tires are just the best I have ever experienced in every measurable or perceivable capacity. They have completely transformed the car and are about 10X better than the Bridgestone RE050's that came from the factory. The Super Sports have insane grip that greatly improves acceleration traction, lateral handling, and braking.

If you have available funds, don't hesitate, buy these tires. They are the best street tire available today. Period.
