Just a heads up as a follow up to my last thread about how the stock turanza's died...

I just got a set (4) of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus' installed on the OEM 17" wheel for the 2008 Coupe - 235/50/17.

I have to say, I am driving a completely new car now. Both the upgrade in size and tread design has made my coupe a beautiful machine to drive (not that it wasn't before...)

Handling is outstanding - these are the best tires I have ever driven on before. Dry grip is just simply amazing. I can take wet roads faster than I could take dry roads with the stock turanzas....and I can even figure out how my car is going to respond in snow now too! Overall, this has been the best upgrade to my car that I could possibly imagine, not to mention they look badass on the stock wheels.

Only draw back I've seen so far is the slight decrease in fuel economy - these are heavier and stickier than the turanzas, and as such, have more rolling resistance, thus causing a drop on MPG's - I'll report back after I go on a 200 mile trip this weekend to see how it affects my long range driving. The impact has only been about 15-20 miles a tank thus far...possibly could also be due to the cold/snowy weather.

Other than that - I LOVE 'EM!

Good to know ... I've heard nothing but good things about these. One, if not the only, all season performance tire with a 45,000 mile tread wear warranty, right? This is what I'm looking at getting for my 19s as soon as I can justify the cost. Still a little tread left on my stock rubber, though.

Also, where'd you purchase? I talked to my dealer and they offered a buy 3 get one free. Essentially $1100-$1200 out the door for 245/40/19 (mount, balance, transfering tpms, etc.).

I got it done at Costco for $80x.xx (i don't remember exactly) for the 4 tires out the door (no tpms transfer, used the same wheels). Came with a road hazard warranty as well - can't beat it! Nitrogen inflation, free rotations/repairs and their warranty as well.

The Goodyear Eagle F1-A/s has a 45k warranty too i think, but I've always been a Michelin guy myself...

I had a choice between Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus or Eagle Good year F1.

I noticed the pilot sport weighed less than all other tires i was looking at so i went for it. BUTTTTTTTT compared to my brothers Falkens they are noisey as hell.

I cant really tell how well they handle due to i have so much body roll, maybe because my tires are more sticky its hard to get a good judgement.

I didn't even drive on the stock junk tires i had the dealership put on a set of 4 new Goodyear eagle f1 all seasons before i left with my new car they did it for free (mounting and balancing) their good tires but im now switching to the proper way to drive a car thats with summer only on in the warm months and all seasons in the cold months. if you thing your pilot sports are good you should try this combo with some very high rated summer only tires and you'll see how much more of a difference they are over your all seasons....its a freaking huge difference.
