I wanted to post a small review of the Michelin cross climate 2 for the AWD q70 as I’ve owned them since the summer and might help some people.
I live near Montreal in Canada and we basically experience the harshest weather from winter. Yhe first snowfall had me a bit worried but actually since daily driving this thing I’m quite impressed. The car handles snow better than most and I would definitely recommend these tires to avoid switching from summer to winter tires constantly (it’s the law here).
They’re pretty smooth and comfortable, but they don’t have a rim guard edge so I do wish I got them wider especially with how the snow can hide some low curbs. They’re oem on 20s right now with the 245.
They’re not the quietest tire but I wouldn’t say they’re very noisy either. Somewhere in between.
I highly recommend it for any other northerners who have AWD and snow. I leave the car in sport mode too, unless it’s fresh snowfall.
Happy to answer any specific questions.
