To briefly sum up my thoughts on Corruption: "Bioshock? What's that?"

I'm not too far into the new Metroid yet, but what I've played has uniformly kicked ***.

I was worried this game was going to follow in the footsteps of Metroid Prime: Hunters (which was an excellent portable FPS but a terrible Metroid game) and abandon the proper Metroid formula for more action-oriented gameplay.

Fortunately, that's not the case, and Corruption is a thoroughly Metroid experience.

The games controls are prefect, and they're fine-tunable to the point where everyone should be able to find a sweet-spot (even people who hold the Wii controllers "backward"). The result is a perfect adapation of the PC's "WASD" style controls with complete movement freedom--NOT the horrendous, schizophrenic scheme that we got with Resident Evil 4. Corruption game controls incredibly intuitively. It's definitely a welcome change from the halfway-FPS/halfway-adventure single-analog controls of the first two Prime games.

I'm pretty disappointed in the lack of publicity Nintendo has given this game. It's up there with Zelda as the very best the Wii has to offer. And you'd think Nintendo would have learned their lesson with Prime 2, which was a financial flop due to--you guessed it--lack of publicity on Nintendo's part.

If you have a Wii I guarantee you want this game, even if you don't realize it.

Agree 100%!!! After 10 seconds of using the controls I knew they nailed it. The graphics may not have the super high rez textures as the 360/ps3 but the effort and level of detail put into every room in the game is unmatched even by bioshock. I really hope that this game gets some real publicity because it should be more of a system seller than Zelda was.

This is my next purchase after I finish Zelda, which I just started today.

But yeah, I haven't seen ONE TV ad for this, WTF.

Just picked up the game yesterday, cannot wait to have some time to play.

As far as commercials go, on the usa network and sci-fi channel, they were really pumping the commercials for Metroid. at least 1 every commercial break. That was on Monday and Tuesday. I was going to wait to get the game until I finally succumbed to the advertising. Damn you Nintendo
