Recently I noticed when ever the car drive out of the drive way or over bump/pot hole, it make a metallic thump sound on the passenger side. I've researched the symptom and it turns out to be a bad strut mount and bearing. I took both front wheels off and all the rubbers, bushings are fine. Also I tried to wiggle from up to bottom, left to right and no play at all, very solid. Oh and it also klunk too.

My questions are: if i'm replacing the mount/bearing myself do, do I need to change both the driver and the passenger mount/bearings too? and which companies do you recommend? since I've heard that the factory strut/mount isn't good.

My car is 07 at currently at 44,000 mile.

Thanks for your input.

Probably a little late. If you have the factory warranty they typically will replace both at one time. If not personally I would do both while your at it since it requires suspension work. Anything Suspension as a good rule of thumb will happen on both sides. The strut bearing went out on my passenger side {note a metallic rubber band sprong noise} when turning heavily right or left and cold weather. The security plus warranty covered this part for me.
