Well long story short my front and rear bumpers on my pathfinder are pretty worn, They are pretty beat and cracked and I decided to simply do the body work to get it near paint ready and they are sanded smooth, but since they have more wear than I care for I want to simply spray on bedliner them.

I have not done it yet, but its just the spray bedliner from autozone, has a satin finish to it, and my truck is black.

But I also found a metallic clear coat by Duplicolor. There metallic clear by there PaintShop line, comes premixed just put it in your spray gun and shoot it.

If I were to give the bumpers 2 coats of bedliner, then spray them with 3-4 coats of clear, would that look any beter or give any positive results??? Would it even work??

Or should I just do the straight bedliner and leave it as it (and it could be easily touched up this way) since there is no clear

What do you guys think??

Rest of the car has a great black paintjob. I just beat my bumpers to death and these 2 arent worth saving

I don't think the clear will stick to a bedliner. I'm curious though, why paint them with bedliner in the first place?

A lot of the mudders/offroaders around here spray bumpers, fenders, and other crap with Rhinoliner. It's a textured bed liner made here in Oregon. It's tough...easy to apply, and looks kind of cool given the proper rig.

Ya I offroad alot and alot of rock road driving so my bumpers get pretty beat, I wanted something that can take abuse.

I bedliner'd them and reinstalled them this afternoon. Im not happy wth the completely flat finish off the bedliner so Im going to pick up some satin black paint. That krylon ourdoor spray can stuff. Atleast on the rear bumper, its to much of a contrast to the rear qurter panel. The front looks wicked though, Ill probly spray that satin aswell though

The texture came out perfect, Ill give it a couple days to cure and Ill test out its durability...
