ok ... im trying to figure out what tickness of metal hg to get for my s2 rb25 and although i have searched here and on hybridz, i have not found any difinitve answers.

what i got? - wiseco 8.4:1 pistons- eagle rb rods

im just gathering some quotes for the machinging i require ... (boring/honing/decking/hot tank block + resurface head) and from searching around i found a 1mm and 1.29mm greddy hg

it depends how much is taken off the block and head. you are going to have to deck it pretty far to get a .2 bump in static compression even with a 1mm gasket

have the machine shop do the measurements on the block and head or get a graduated cylinder and some plexiglass and do it yourself.

i doesnt have to be spot on 8.6-8.8:1 ... if i could a bit higher than 8.4:1 is preferred.

thanks for the recommendation ... thats what i figured in a worst case scenaro but my buddy and i are building a huge order with an online store and i can get the hg at a discount and no shipping so thats why im trying to figure this out now

Well What about Metal H/G With the stock thickness so you don't ahve to shave off of the block? Where can those be bought or are they the same as the 1mm?

IMO you MUST deck the head and block with going to a MHG.
