with a HKS type metal headgasket...would you run the 'o' ring in the block?

or

would you remove the '0' rings from the block and then use the grooves in the block as a reciever groove for the metal head gasket?

or

something completley different again

anyone have any thoughts or advise please ?

BTW the head is not '0' ring at all

when you o ring the block your basicly taking out the need for the headgasket, but i was reading over on FA taht running an oringed block with orings in it, and a headgasket ends up leaky since its a funky seal or somthing

Since the gasket is already metal, it is already too hard to accept an O'ring. You usually would use the o-ring combination on a copper headgasket whereas the material (copper) is soft enough to accept the o-rings. Most major metal headgasket manufacturers already have an o-ring on it for extreme sealing duties.
