I just can't decide on what thickness I need. I'm either going to buy a cosworth or apexi. I may push up to 25 #'s one day and the turbo I will most likely will be going with is the gt2871r this summer. I currently run up to 18#'s on a t28 and i know its time to swap while my luck is holding out. What do you guys think for size 1.2 ? 1.5?

i wanted to keep the stock thickness for mine but they were out so i went witha 1.1 mm no the thing is it will lower the compression ratio a little. so you stick with thinner one and you will theoretically get more power. cause forcing more air in a smaller area.

so i say stay stock or only go one size up.

Either HG will hold 25+ psi (apexi will hold ~45psi according to Mazworx). Cosworth HG is a good one and is much cheaper than the Apexi.

Just a small FYI for you Idaho. 1.1mm is stock thickness. .9mm is for non-turbo SRs

I personally have an ApexI on my car....but it's been on there now for a while...there was no Cosworth option then :D

If I was redoing it? I'd be running a Cosworth Gasket, simpy due to equal quality and a chaper price. If money was no concern, the ApexI

I thought that the difference between the apexi and the cosworth is that the apexi HG is reuseable.

Can you safely reuse the cosworth HG's?

I thought you were able to re-use all metal head gaskets. I got the cosworth head gasket and I'm loving it.
