so today i pulled my sr.

after not driving it for almost a month and found metal and copper/bronze shavings in the oil pan. im guessing bearings and thrust washers .

But i was driving home 1 night and a block from my house i heard this terrible noise coming from the bottom end a loud clacking noise and then the oil light came on. and it didnt feel like a lost any power i was doing 45 and then i slowed down. and then gave it a lil gas and it didnt hesitate got home turned it off. The next morn i changed the oil turned the car on rev it a lil no noise took it down the street and all of a sudden the loud noise again. then i opened the hood while it was still on and i seen a slight oil leak coming from the stock turbo lines.

im guessing i spun a rod bearing.

but any input would be great will have pics tomorrow

so it was a spun rod bearing i picked up a rebuilt short block.

it has new acl bearings, oil pump, piston rings, timing chain kit, the head was included but needs machine work done to it it also has new lifters, springs and some other goodies.

bought for $500 with only 300 miles on the rebuild.

going to be swaping my head on to this motor and will have pics up soon.
