Got a call last week from a fellow named Jamison, who has a 96 base Q. Met up with him yesterday (briefly) to exchange some info and have a look at his car.

What a beautiful car - Emerald Pearl paint is SO nice, looks like it was applied yesterday. Still running the factory-spec Michelin Pilots on OEM rims, so it's like a 10-year time warp seeing that car. He's having some driveability issues (surging / hesitation), so I hooked him up with my mechanic to pull the codes and go from there...

While we're standing there in a McDonald's parking lot comparing notes, some old-timer in a Camry volunteered the following brilliant advice upon seeing the two immaculate Q45's:

"Hope nothing goes wrong with the engine or transmission - They're damn expensve to repair!"

Thanks Grampa - We'll keep that in mind. :)

Good meeting with you Jamison!

Maybe you should get the old guy to join the NICO forum as a technical expert. He could teach Dennis a thing or two.

Last Q owner I tried to greet thought I was a car wash attendant and asked me for change.

MAN! Cant a brown man get a break? :)

He had a gorgeous 95 Q45a. Gave him a NICO invite.
