messed with idle, now motor shakes

latley my auto s13 (ka24de) has been having a idle problem it gets a really low idle i read and learned that there is a idle screw. i turned it out trying to make the idle higher. now when i start the car and get it to about 2000 rpm the motor will start to shake pretty hard. if i let off the gas it will idle but the rpm needle will go from 1000 to to about 1100. i tried to drive and when the car would shift into 1st gear it would jerk pretty bad. could it be the atf?

does the motor just shake alot at idle?

i fixed it, but now it sounds like somthing plastic is rattling in the motor. if you can iimagine the oil filter cap broken bouncing on the valve cover thats what it sounds like. i think it may be the chain guide though. yes?
