Merry Christmas...what is under the tree for your EX ?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I got her:
A tank of gaz
Four Yokohama Avid Ascend (for the summer)
Fumoto valve
A large jug of Mobil 1 5w30 + Fram EG filter
Yet I feel I should get her something else....Any other suggestions? ;)

Enjoy the holidays, folks!

maybe you can also give her a wash and vacuuming to top things off.

I am the Grinch this year and don't plan on getting anything for the EX. Ok, maybe it'll get an exterior wash, courtesy of my wife who's much more generous than I am :) . Or maybe I can re-gift some of the things I already bought for it but haven't installed yet; but I hope it doesn't catch on and that I don't hurt it's feelings ;) .

Actually, my wife and I know too many kids, so there's no time or budget for holiday gifts for the EX this year; and probably every year to follow.

Happy Holidays to you all!

Merry Christmas everyone in EX/QX land.

I'm a big spender. I spent a few dollars and washed the car.

It was really dirty and needed it real bad.

Nothing to write home with, but the EX35 looks like a million bucks,

My gift to mine was to leave it alone and let it sit in the garage while it rained. Figured Id try to keep the mileage down on her since she is under warranty. Figured Id use my girlfriends car and rack up her mileage instead... ;)

Mine got a stainless bumper protector for Thanksgiving, but only a wash for XMas. I am considering a new blue display Escort radar detector. The red display on my Bell clashes with the instrument panel.

And I just received my Centric rear disk + Akebono pads, OBI II scanner, and brake fluid changing pump I ordered from Amazon.

Incidentally, I notice that our EX eat pads like popcorn, most likely because, here in winter, the abs and vsc are most active. I had to change the rear pads @ 60,000km or 40,000 miles. I had to change the front disks+pads @ 70,000 km. (I used ATE rotors /Akebono pads and the combo is great). I was surprised that the OEM pads/rotors lasted such a short time. I am now at 78,000 and notice the rear OEM disks are rusting and will soon be due. I plan, in the spring, to change the rear disks to the Centric rotors I just received, but keep the Akebono pads on, if they are still good. I'll keep the new pads for when they need changing in, oh I suspect, 25,000 km from now.

lots of stuff for the kids cars, like a starter, a clutch, a glove box, red floor mats....

nothing for me - but I liked the Fumoto valve suggestion. never heard of them and checked them out. very interesting!

I had a Fumoto Valve on my subaru forester. It made the oil changes easier, but it did take longer for the oil to drain due to the smaller opening. But I always put a hose onto the valve and right into a bottle with no dripping or spills.
