Well said, mate!

I, too, have grown weary of the commercialism and chaos - But it was REAL easy to get things right this year... Minimal gift-giving, maximum time spent doing things for those less fortunate, spending time with our church and having a good time with family and friends.

What I learned on my Christmas vacation:

My house is still where I left it and my family is still there.

Shutting off the television/cpu and calling/visiting friends & family worked wonders. They may still like you!

Raising toys for motorcycle toy runs was a lot of fun.

My kids arent so bad when they're close up.

Even if your daughters ex burns down the kitchen you can still have the family over for the traditional dinner, its just fast food instead of turkey & fixins. This gives more time for fun.

Putting bucks in the red kettle feels good.

My wife isnt so bad when she's close up.

Who needs a tree when you have mistletoe.

Be very good and Santa will get you a late model Q.:icesangel
