Has anybody ever thought of the new Merc C-coupe as a potential drifter car. I mean, the car is front engine rear drive.

Is it possible for someone to do this?

I'm not saying that people should do it. I'm asking if it is possible. will the car let you or will the electroninc controls stop you from going into a full out slide?

If the ESP is on, it WILL stop you from sliding. But, seriously. . trust me. . don't turn it off. :)

Ya ever go on a test drive, and sort of. . oh I dunno, "try out" a vehicle's roll over protection system?

I've driven a C230 coupe, but the one in the question was a sport sedan (6 spd). . . the coupe felt like it may handle a bit better. . I love that car actually. .

I dunno tho. . don't do it during a test drive tho haha

I beleve that car is about 3000-3200lbs. That would mostlikely affect your ability to control it. I was thinking about getting one as well, that sunroof is pimp.

for a starting price of 25k and 192hp supercharged is not bad considering you get all the prestige of a luxury car, not to mention german engineering. Personally I wouln't buy it, but I cant wait to see if the aftermarket develops for that car and how far will it go...

Maybe MB is smart and wont promote aftermarket just to avoid one of their cars being defiled by the ricer community.

There are several Merc tuners who already, offer a lotof parts, Boost upgrades, body Kits, and even swapingthe largest V8 that Merc offers into the little bugger. I thinkit's Barabus that does it. BIG $$

Yeah...car is has a 3360 lbs. curb weight...a lot of it transfers to the back when it comes around in a corner...hehe. And yes...the sunroof is pimp...big enough to walk out of.

I have heard of them, but dont know much about the company. Ill check them out, thanx. Oh and now that I remember, there was a Barabus S600 in the Hot Import Nights in Philly. It had Loius Voitton(not into that overpriced poop, so I hope I spelled it right) lined interiors and bulletproof windows. Personally I think the car was a little out of place like a german sausage among asian rice...

Yeah I read a report on the Barbaus V8 swap in the Mag EVOand they said it was SICK fast 0-60 in like 4 or 5 sec. The motor was stuffed in it.

I say, if you are going to go MB, go all out. Just get the S600 rated at 4706 lbs curb weight and 493HP. That is a beast of a car.

It's BRABUS. Not Barabus or Barbus. Or Barbie or Nancy or Mary or Jamie. BRA-BUS. BRABUS.
