I have a friend who's mother is selling her 1988 Pontiac Mera.Anybody know whether they are worth looking at??It's red and a stick.

If you are talking about the Fiero, they are pretty decent cars. My friend had one for awhile, he said it handled like an expensive sports car. Other than that, not sure on the performance.

Yep, that's the one. I hear they only made a handful before being sued, so they are quite rare. Didnt know if anybody here had first hand experience with them. I did have a friend back in the 80's that bought a Fiero and only had troubles with it.

Yeah, I don't have first hand experience with them, just word of mouth from a previous owner. I have started to see them more and more now, or at least it seems like it.

One of the young guy who works for me used to have a Fiero. It melted the upper center console. It almost burned the car down. The engine is just rightr beside it. I saw the plastic. Looked pretty busted. I don't know if it was a separated accident or it happened to others too.

Buy it, because they have decent handling. Swap out the ****ty engine for an RB26. Then it would be a pretty badass little car.
