I am having a problem with my memory seat. When I have the seat set to exit it goes all the way back and the steering wheel goes all the way up. The problem I am having is that when I return to the car and get in the only thing that moves back to the memory position is the steering wheel. The seat just stays back. So I put it back to the position I want and exit and still the same. Also, I can push the memory seat button numbers to the desired setting and nothing. Is this a common issue or is there something else I need to do? Idk if I need to somehow get into the BCM and reset something or what. I only have one Intelligent key fob at the moment but I have both keys. I am in the process of locating a new fob to have it programmed to the vehicle. Any help with the fob issue would be greatly appreciated too. Thanks for any help.

Did you try to reprogram the memory positions? For now, I would change the exit assist so you don't have to mess with it every time you get in the car.

check your confort settings... do a reset to defaut and then set them back to how you want. hopefully that works.

i think their is a tech article on how to program a fob to the car, instead of paying the dealer. idk maybe if you have a good dealer relationship they might do it for free???

I tried the reprogramming but an issue I have is that I only have one fob. If I went through the dealer it was going to be like $300 for a new remote and the programming. I have been looking for another remote to add but they are very hard to find... I have the cancel button on at the moment so it doesn't move on exit but two people drive the car and we don't use the same settings. Kind of a PITA if you know what I mean. ANyway, thank you for the help. Hopefully I can get it figured out soon. I hate having the option and not being able to use it because of the fuctionality of it.

One other thing. I hooked it up yesterday to a snap-on verdict to check the BCM but there were no options for seat control...

I found a seller on eBay. $59 shipped with key blank and a guy I used when I worked for tow truck company said he can program for $70. Dealer wanted $149 for fob and $129 for program and $10 each extra key with chip. So it would cost me 3 benjies thru them.

Is the FCC ID: KBRTN001? If so then let's make a deal!

I have been doing lots of research on the FCC numbers and everything says they have to match the current remote I have.

The FCC ID numbers are different so I have to find one specifically for my year model.

I still need help with the memory seat not returning to set position...

this might be a dumb question but have you actually programmed your seat position to the FOB you have?

while in park and car running, adjust you seat, side mirrors, sterring wheel. Then press "set" then "1". that will save your setting. (let "1" light go off) Then press "1" and immediatly press the unlock button on your FOB, light on "1" should start blinking to confirm pairing with the FOB. Of course repeat these steps for the second FOB but use the "2" button.

If you have already done this, then idk what your seat problem is...

I just purchased a fob on eBay.

As for the seat issue...I think I have already programmed the fob. Sounds weird saying that I think I have but when I go through the sequence the lights blink and when I exit the vehicle lock doors then reenter the only thing that moves is the steering wheel. The seat stays all the way back. I'm sorry for the runon sentences but I'm going down the road. Not driving of course!

all i can say is try my instructions... if that dont work... then it just might be a problem with your seat that the dealer should take care of. good luck.

Ok here is what happened after doing this. I switched the button back from cancel to auto. When I turned the ignition back off and opened the door the seat moved back and the steering wheel moved up. I turned the ignition switch back on and the steering wheel moved down to set position but seat didn't. But when I hold the 2 button the back of the seat moves forward to the position set for 2 but not the bottom it's still all the way back. Now if I hold the 1 the back of the seat goes to mysetc position but the bottom doesn't move forward. All the controls work when I try to reposition. The seat. I'm getting frustrated with this thing already! I'm sure somebody somewhere has had this same stupid issue and knows what's up with it... idk what else to do!

...this is why I turned that feature off on my 09. Working the seat like that everytime you get in cant be good for it...

Dealer would be the best bet.

never had any problems on my 2005 or my current car with the seat motors. its actually one of my favorite features of the G. i like how it "lets you in" the car, then "lets you out". or if someone else drives my car ill have my settings back in a push of a button.

I have had multiple vehicles with memory seats and never have I experienced issues like this. The seat works fine. It's almost like the seat forgets what to do...

No issues with my '08 nor '07.....They do what they are programmed to do.
