memory seat problems - 94Q

Last night I noticed that my 1 and 2 memory seat lights were flashing non-stop, even when the car is turned off. This morning I tried messing with it a little- resetting the seats, turning off the seat return, etc, but nothing works. As I sit here and type, those two stupid lights are flashing in my car right now. In addition, the seat/steering wheel return is not working when I get in and out.The 1/2 buttons are also non-functional.When I get home from work, I'll disconnect the battery cables as a first option. Anyone ever experienced this?

Thanks a million (this thread didn't come up when I searched). I've had problems before where the seat return stops working for a brief period, say a few days, then starts working again for no reason. I'll print this out and keep it in the glove box
