:ohno: so quick question..instead of dishing out dollars for a new harness I'm trying to fix all my wires behind the dash and am lost with color code..I have a manual but it doesn't tell you what the pink paint bands on wires with same colors designations mean...like r/b wire that has pink paint markings on them vs wires without the paint markings..any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Also I respect all of you guys for all you do for the people in this community even if you don't get the acknowledgement or respect from others in this place. I know people are busy and have lives I'm just trying to get my DD back on the road..you know how she looks with the dash out :(

Those silver or pink secondary tracers aren't documented, they're assembly aids which only meant anything to the people building the harness. When you have multiple severed wires in a bundle with identical colors, if you can't match the secondary tracers then your only option is the documentation and an ohmmeter. Once you trace one of the wires to one end, you can pull up the harness drawing and wiring diagram to locate the other end and trace the matching wire. It's a bear, but it's the only way. Most of the information you need will be in the harness drawings, which you can find here starting on PG-39:
