Yeah exhaust is starting to melt my bumper, if I lower it anymore its going to look like crap and bounce off the sway bar.

Thought about getting some sheet aluminum and cutting out some panels around the arch (arches in my case). Anyone else do this here, and have pic of it.

ive seen it done.

i think it looks good and its functional.

some ppl use carbon fiber. but idk what carbon fibers resistance to heat compared to what ever plastic the bumper is made of.

looks good if the sheet metal or alum. is fitted good.

I'd imagine carbon fiber is pretty resistant to heat

my friend was having this same problem with his civic. what we ended up doing was cutting and weling about 4 inch of pipe to bring it out more and a pipe bender to angle it up. why dont you cut the right side of your bumper to keep the plastic off the exhaust?

CF is pretty decent on heat resistance as long as it is radiant heat and not direct.

but if u have any douts about what temp range u will be using it in ide go with the alum.

I would imagine CG is good at withstanding heat, they use it to make hoods.

Made from a dryer vent from Home Depot and some rivets.

Those of you who have installed a rear bumper guard on your car. How have they held up? Do the rivets come loose after a while? How does the material hold up? I was looking at a carbon fiber rear bumper guard before, but I didn't want it to get all yellow and ugly on me in a few months.

I just made one... very subtle, looks good.... When I got under there I could see all the melted Styrofoam..... I am shocked it didn't catch fire.

Pics tomorrow.
