How about posting your problem in general, maybe someone else can help you out.

his email add is hidden. my prob is i changed the turbo on my rb25det because i blew of the turbo. i got the same stock turbo for the engine. everything was in place and when i started the car itll only start for 2 seconds and itll die.. start it again and step on the gas itll only go up to 2200 rpm and then die again after 2 seconds.. i dont know what else to check and im kinda new to this engine. btw when i blew of the turbo i was still able to start and drive the car and it would idle normal.. is there anything that i put back wrong or anything? one more thing my air fuel ratio gauge plays around 14-15 and then suddenly it'll go all the way to the right side (red zone) and then just die. Pls need help wanna get this on the streets again thanks

Sounds like MAF. Unplug your MAF and try starting it to see if it runs the exact same. This is a rough idle mode should cut off around 2k rpm. That's where the MAF starts to do its thing. If it doesn't change do the voltage test and if that fails. Find a new MAF. MAF sensors just have too many problems in genral...

ei guys i got a question i have an xterra and a while ago i unplugged the maf sensor while it was running and rev it, it wasnt going up past 2200 also... so i plug it back ,shut off the engine and started it again it was normal again but my service engine light came on.. i was just wondering y my 240sx doesnt idle at all or it just dies no matter what even with or without the maf sensor plugged in. i made sure that it has gas and all the connection that had corrosion i cleaned it off with the electronic spray (to take out the corrosion on the connectors) but it still doesnt idle? what else is there to check? guys i need ur help

Service engine light is just going to tell you something happened with MAF so many starts ago, no biggie. If it still didn't start up you've eliminated the MAF and the possibility of a huge vac/boost leak.Possibilities left:Did you check if your grounds were all plentiful and tight? Did you check if your 02 sensor was plugged in and working? (again check FSM)

FSM is "Factory Service Manual" the link I posted above.Well if its a vac leak then it would have idled with the maf unplugged in a rough idle. Did the o2 sensor get dropped or hit at any time?I can't think of anything else you would mess with when swapping the rb's turbo out... Did you do anything with CAS? Did the turbo spin freely when you installed it?

yes the turbo was spinning before i put it in. and i would hear the turbo spool because the rpm goes upto 2200 and when i let go i hear the bov work.. anyways i let somebody check it before i bring it to a shop. i got a couple of friends that are car adicts too but they have the same motor that i have. im not gonna give up on my rb25. hehe il keep u posted whatever happens with my car thanks alot dude.

figured out the problem the setting on the afc was on a different mode that's why it wasn't starting.. the recent owner went and check it out, called the mechanic who worked on the car and there she was one click haha.. finally nice to hear the engine roar again.. thanks guys.
