one morning over a week ago i went to start my car up. tried several times and would almost get it started but i would let go of the of the key to soon. (because the radio was to loud to hear it start) i did that accidentally several times and finally got the car started. car started up and was idling like s*** revving up and down, stumbling and acting like it would die. but once it got going it was fine. ( thought i maybe flooded it.) after i came home to check it out because it worried me IT WENT AWAY.
So i was driving along a day later when an engine light popped up on my dash, which really pissed me off, so I took the computer out and diagnosed it found out it was throwing an INJECTOR LEAK* code. i thought maybe it was just a mistake because of how it was runnin from before and cleared the code. light turned off and then i noticed the car started idling very low like 500 rpm's, which i know be used to be around 750. car runs fine once it gets goin but it stumbles a little off the line and idles right above 400 then goes up to 500 at a stop.
So i remembered that there was a idle adjustment on the computer, (thought maybe i put it back on to low of a setting when i was checking for codes), so i tried adjusting it and no matter where i have it has no effect on the idle. Ive been driving it around now the same way waiting for another engine light to pop up but nothing so far.......
this concerns me a bit... because something has changed about the way the car runs and i am not about to go screw with the idle adjustment in the engine bay. its just to much of a coincidence that those symptoms happened to my car and now its running like that.
Does anyone have any ideas? ~Thanks
