As some of you guys know I was implementing Megasquirt for the CA, aparently it looked like I'm the first to take a stab at it. I am pleased to say that we got her started last night and amazingly the motor just sounds insane (no exhaust hooked up).

One of the first things I must say is how incredibly EASY it is to install and get megasquirt running. I would say the hardest part of the conversion is the trigger wheel, VR bracket for the trigger wheel, and assembling megasquirt (not hard just a good 8 hrs).

As for the harness I built it myself, and only needed to splice into the fuel pump harness in the engine bay, and one of the power wires inside the cabin. The rest just went from megasquirt to the sensors.

Some of you guys I talked to on AIM knew I tried to start it up thursday and aparently no go called it a night since it was 2am. Saturday rolls around we give it a crack, Megatune helped us diagnose the problem being something was taking power away from megasquirt, so everytime I tried cranking it megasquirt would restart. Once we got that straighten out the ***** fired up first try.

So just wanna let everyone know megasquirt is now another option for us CA guys, probably the best standalone for the price. For around $400 you can have a powerful standalone that most other tuning system cant compare.

Congrats! I know the feeling you get when you first go to try and fire up the standalone and it works. Luckily mine started on the first try. It idled like crap and died, but it started!
