Hi all,

I have a little question that I bet no one knows...

I need to know if the Megan S13 rear coilovers have the same diameter and thread pitch on the shock body as the JIC FLTA1's.

I have the JIC's and I want to use the lower mounting bracket from the Megan's so I can raise my car a little more than it is. JIC made it so your car is mega slammed in the rear. I'm done with the whole super low dragging s***. I'm more into road course driving and it's just not practical being as low as it is.

This is a very weird question and I hope that there is someone out there with both coils who could check this.

Thanks alot.

so you're saying that the JIC rear mounts won't allow a high ride height? Kind of hard to believe...

You want to see the difference in lower brackets?

The JIC's are considerably shorter. I have only about 3 threads engaged and my diff is only about 5" off the ground with 235/45/17's.

With them as high as they can go, my tires are about 2 inches inside my rear fenders.

Yeah, JIC's are definately not for people looking for 4x4 status. Mine are fine though, and my car isn't slammed.

I'm not looking for 4x4, just raise it about 1 1/2 inches from where its at now. I've had them for 3 years now from new and not a single issue, except for the super low rear. The fronts can go mad high if need be.

you shouldn't judge ride height by lower bracket. Springs and shock bodies differ in size too you know.

I'm very well aware of that...I'm not about to crank my spring down or search for longer springs/dampers.

Screw it...I'm just going to machine now lower brackets.

Well, if you do confirm they have similar specs, I've got a spare set of MR rear lower mounts for you cheap.
