So i know theres alot of s13 guys on here rockin megan suspension components, so i figured id ask for some input from all of you. Ever since i lowered my car and replaced the RUCAs and the rear toe rods with megan parts i have had the most horrible suspension noise. It goes away in the summer and comes back with a vengence as soon as it starts cooling down and raining again. I have narrowed down the noise without a doubt to these parts. So, i removed the rear toes rods and noticed that there was quite a bit of back and forth slop in the sleeves which slide into the ball joint. My theory is that this is the cause of the noise because it is allowing dirt and moisture to get into the joint. It is almost as if they were not machined to tight enough tolerances. same is the case with the rucas i believe. I can place my hands on the outside of the RUCA's and rock it back and forth a very small amount mabe 2mm and the movement is coming from where it mounts to the bracket on the subframe. Im wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how you solved it or if you did at all? I would like to avoid replacing them with higher quality (more expensive) parts but i believe it may be inevitable, but before i do id like some input.

I used megan also. Ruca, traction and toe. Mine squeak and moan like a beotch too. Tried wd40, oil, everything. Still noisy. Not sure if its because they are megan or if all heim joints squeak. I think all heim joints squeak and moan. Maybe I am wrong???? Here come the megan haters.

Yes pack the hole heim joint areas with waterproof grease. I did it and have never had a problem.

I had a set of megan tie rod ends that the heim joint wore out and started this same problem. then the vibrations made one fall off around a corner and my right front wheel went sideways making my car undriveable 20 miles from home on my way to the other coast of florida. I thank GOD that didn't happen on the highway @ 70-80mph I now rock tien 1 piece tie rod ends with 2 nuts to make sure they are locked in place.
