Hey guys. I've been researching Springs Rates and I was wondering since the stock / oem spring rate is 112lb / inch for front and rear, if I was to get a lowering spring with high spring rate (stiffer) such as megan lowering springs, will it blow the shocks faster or will it help the shocks last longer? I had it on my last 240sx and it was super comfortable, loved it. But it came with the car when I bought it and now that I have a newer, cleaner, and better 240sx, I want to get it lowered without sacrificing a lot of money into it nor the ride comfort. Also, will I need a camber kit since I'm lowering the car?

It would most likely blow the dampers.

Stock dampers aren't meant to handle lowering springs. Ideally, you'd want to get dampers that are valved specifically for the spring rates.

As far as the camber goes, I've seen the drop with the megan springs, and they aren't that much that it would totally ruin your camber. I'd suggest getting just camber bolts if you don't already have them (fronts).
