If I were you, I would do these steps.

1. Loosen the preload so the spring is free, then re-preload the spring. You never know if the previous owner preloaded them correctly, this can cause an uncomfortable ride, well worst than if done correctly. This can be done by loosening the preload collar, then hand tighten the collar until it firmly touches the spring, then use the wrenches to tighten about 3-6 turns. Then lock it with the locking collar just below it.

2. Eye up the heights, comparing right to left so the fronts match each other as well as the rears.

3. Slap them on, and see where the car sits.

4. Adjust the height accordingly. Just loosen the bottom collar and turn the shock body until you get your desired height. Then tighten the collar back down.

It may take some time, but thats what I would do.

they're just tossed in a box after production. Megan doesn't set them to any height. Your best bet would be to listen to Smocan, lol

Heres how they come from the factory, only thing done was preload. These are streets but that shouldn't matter.

Adrian is right... your gonna change the height though when you install them, you better, haha. Coilovers are no fun on uneven factory presets. Many people believe they are ready to go out of the box... NOOOO. Even used coilovers should be treated the same way.
