Megan Racing/O2 Sensor question?????

I got the megan racing 3 inch turbo elbow and it required a fatter o2 sensor, some people i have talked to said to get the 1992 sentra ser o2 because it fits and its a three wire. It fits I wired it red (power), white (ECU), and black (ground) and now my vehicle runs like crap its running very lean and blowing out some ugly black smoke. Could this 02 be the cause of this? My timing is off too but I wanted to make sure this 02 is OK to use. Also could my MAFS be bad and what are some ways to see if it might be? The motor is the redtop sr20det and its in a nissan truck. Any help is appreciated.
