I have one. It's been working for the 2 days or so that I've driven with it.

But if you pay $90 for it, I'm going to laugh at you.

I have one, yet to install it though. The quality looks decent, and when you figure out exactly how simple it's job really is, you won't be to worried about it. It is basically a diaphragm with a spring. It uses vacuum to overcome some of the spring force at idle, and as manifold pressure increases, it raises pressure by assisting the spring in opening the line, and allowing pressure to rise. When you adjust it, you simply bring the spring closer to coil bind, with more stored energy, it takes more pressure to equal spring pressure. This raises fuel pressure. Anyone have anything else to add?

That's where I got mine, I think it was $45 shipped. One of the few things I have bought on eBay with reasonable shipping.

is megan a bona fide brand like HKS or Aeromotive or do they sell generic knock off type parts?

Generic knockoff mostly, but they are starting to become more credible. You'll always have your haters so get what works, you know?

Oh, it's definately counterfeit. But my stance on countrefeit parts has been clear for a long time. If I feel it's operation is effectively unimportant, I will buy it. Not that a FPR is unimportant, but it is a simple task. And one that could be manufactured for cheaply. I do not see paying HKS prices for what would look the same dissassembled.

A wastegate is relatively simple too, but the knockoff ones fail all the time with devastating consequences. A FPR isn't really something you want to fail on you. That's a piece I'd wait on until it has a proven track record.

Alright I had it fail on me yesterday. The vacuum line blew off and the car stalled. I guess I should put a clamp.

I don't think that counts as a failure. Maybe just a lack of foresight. And I would just use a zip-tie.

yeah i just picked up my megan fpr and nismo adapter from enjuku yesterday. the megan fpr comes with universal adapters, but they look like theyre more for hondas. they wont work on our rail, so you have to get the nismo adapter that takes place of your stock fpr. its about $35 (too lazy to click your link).

they are as good as any other brand. There is only so much to a fpr , spring and a knob. Just don't buy Megan off ebay there is acctual megan knockoffs now. I purchased all my Megan stuff via a local shop cost few$$$ extra but comes with waranty and parts quility is better when we compared e-bay strut bar to the one shop ordered me. There is a place on ebay called "projectsilvia" store they sell fuel rail adapters 30$ or so or they can hook u up with a fuel rail for 70$ and u don't need the fitting than. I ordered both haha so if u need the adapter e-mail me/.

Also B&m fpr (its a cap type) works quiet well 30$ with fpr gage on the bay , keep ur rail and ur factory fpr , just chop the top install the b&m cap ...done (looks like nismo afpr but much cheaper) i that one as well haha ordered for my buddys ka-t , than he decided to go fuel rail + sard fpr.So 30$ gets u the adjustable cap + extar fpr ka24e/de (in case u mess up first time) easy way to increase fuel pressure as well i will give you a link with pics on how to install it.

cant this be used in conjunction with the factory fuel pressure regulator? Can someone post pics of how they hooked it up, mine has no directions whatsoever, not even an in/out label on the fuel barbs. (PS if you buy this off ebay i reccommend not buying from jdmcarrier, shipping took freggin forever and he doesnt return emails worth a damn). thanks.

No, it is a replacement for the stock reg. Also, you will need a special adaptor, the ones supplied will leak. Finally, if I recall side is out, bottom is in. Just use the gauge, it will only read right one way (about 40 psi at idle). Also, there is talk of adding a second ground to the MAFS to clear up the richness issue. I would elaborate, but I have a bad injector, and just got mine started.
