Has anyone heard anything about this set up?

Kind of like 2 birds with one stone. Ive really never heard of megan racing. It looks like the headers might even be equal length. Any thoughts on performance? Ive e-mailed them about information or stats on the product.

I heard somewhere that the welds dont hold up on these. And another question, what are you getting at when saying the headers might be equal length?

Haven't heard anything (good or bad) about that setup. I have heard of Megan Racing, and they make some decent products. From my understanding, their products are more for the Honda community, and only a few parts are for other brands.

I've heard of Megan Racing. They actually make more for my Z than Kinetix Racing does. They are usually cheaper in price which could mean less engineering, mimic design, or poor quality in product. A lot of people use their products, so i wouldn't be afraid to try it. They make exhaust for the G-sedans FWIW

Equal length headers mean all the pipes are the same length. It usually equates to better air flow and more hp.

I did a little research and this is what ive seen about megan racing.

Ive heard that the Test Pipes sometimes crack. But ive heard the Catback exhaust for the G35 sedan is pretty nice and is good for turbo applications. The whole exhaust costs around $400. The exhaust is only a single path but it is increased to 3".http://www.google.com/products...ab=wf

Ive still not heard anything about this 2 in 1 testpipe and header setup though. They have not returned my email.

Interesting find...

A lot of people in the G/Z community have used their exhaust and suspension mods (camber/toe kits)

Should be a pretty good set up

I saw a similar setup on e-bay (of course) for sale pretty cheap. I would think of doing it but I have headers already and the wife would kill. Looks like they have support tabs welded on them to be bolted in the stock location. I think it said for Z's but had a side note that would also fit G's.

I saw you mention ebay headers on another post. About how much did you pay? how long did you have them? Any notice in power?

OH yes, my cheap e-bay headers, I paid around$50. or $60. incl. shipping. They are real cheap knock-offs/copys......but the butt dyno said yesss. I still have 'em on and I didn't do a true dyno run but it was deffinately noticeable. I had to do a little clean up on them like smooth out a couple of welds made on the inside of the collector but other than that they were fine, deff not stillen or borla but they worked good just the same. I know I know I could maybe gain a couple of horses by spending the money on expensive headers but I'm not at the track fulltime racing......I just kill hondas and mustangs around town. Works fer me!
