Will Megan mid-pipe fit stock mufflers
I am new to the forum but have visited many times for answers. I just got my Megan mid pipes in last week but the exhaust are still on back order and Megan stated they have no idea when they will get more. My question is can I have my mid pipes installed to my stock mufflers and does it still provide somewhat of a better sound?

It will fit with stock mufflers but very little, if any, change in sound.

I had the mid-pipe installed by itself for about 4 months because the mufflers were on back order but I have to say it will fit and the sound will be different even with the stock mufflers on a M45.

the Megan mids will fit 
I took off my Megan mufflers and put on the stock mufflers...the sound was decent (I needed to quiet down the car since my son was using my car to practice for his license) Since then, I have modified it...
I have this set up currently...I had the stock mufflers modified = larger tips, and larger diameter piping from the muffler inlet to the midpipe connector...the sound is really good. not loud at idle or cruising, no drone...when you step on it...the car opens up -- very similar to what it sounded when I had the Megan mufflers...
here's some pix...I have a video somewhere on my camera but need to upload.
Rear view - you can see the pipe between the muffler and midpipes (2.5" piping all the way to stock mufflers)

For the High flow cats and y pipe what other modifications did you have to do???

no modifications...but for your car (looks like you have an M45), you may need to go custom for your ypipe since it's connected to your secondary cats...but you can just run the Megan midpipes and mufflers to your stock ypipe....achihwu wrote:For the High flow cats and y pipe what other modifications did you have to do???
