Im gonna most likely be selling my ksport coilovers even before i install them haha because i would like to get something a little better quality and a little more expensive... I was considering the Tein Super Drifts but then i kept looking and thinking i might just go with the Megans.

Now the thing is which megans shall i go with? the Street that i could get at $889 or the Tracks which i could get at $899? This is for my s13... I have done soo much suspension stuff to it already that i was thinking about just going with the Tracks, even though the spring rate is 12/10 which i know i know is stiff but i dont think i would mind that much.I am more concerned about breaking something from it being too stiff. What would i break? or hurt from having that spring rate and driving on the street? The streets are an 8/6 spring rate.. I would like to go to a 10/8 but im just wondering which coilover is better to go with The Tracks or The Streets? Yes i have searched and found no answer to which is better. OR should i just keep my ksports?

What is your opinion?

You cant go wrong if you buy quality parts. Tanabe , Stance , JIC , TEIN ect.

Megan Racing tracks are super stiff. I rode in a 92 coupe and i thought my teeth were going to fall out everytime we hit a little bump in the road.

Don't go with megan. They're adj. arms rust and the coilovers tend to knock. Anyways you should pay a little more for stance, a buddy of mind got a set for his s14(he used to have megan streets) and he said there was no dislikes from the switch over. I also had megan street and switched to tein flex...anyways theres a pattern where people tend to replace megans

wait a minute, what si your problem with the K sports? all the springs are interchangalbe and I have no idea what those rates equal in lbs/in but the rate will vary based on your use, and weight, and weight distribution, I run 440lb/in in frotn in 250 lb/in rears in my 2100 lb race car, I have no idea what kind of valving is in the actual struts you listed but ADS, Koni, Penske etc can do custom valving both rebound and compression, so before you go changing everything maybe you should shed some light on your car and your goals, if you just want a lower ride and to tell the ricers you got coil overs just get the cheapest thing you can find they'll be equally impressed

ok? i have just been hearing about the ksports more and more and how they suck and whatever for auto x and drifting and cant take much abuse... I want some coilovers that can take a beating and i dont care about them being way too stiff or anything like that really i dont drive the car daily its more of an every other day driver and i like to drive in the mountains alot and i want to start going to auto x events i just have been building up the rest of the car i have replaced all my bushings with the rsr kit. I have also done the solid rear subframe bushings. Im using megan rucas and have replaced front and rear ball joints,Put in a nismo power brace also. I plan on doing the coilovers now and then getting an lsd a little later down the road.. I was thinking about welding the diff but it seems like a bad idea i would be worried about the welds cracking while im driving haha ive heard some bad stories. LOL about the ricers i tend to stay away from that group ive heard enough people talking about NAWZ and pronouncing it that way. This car is far from rice well in my opinion... the car has a small amount of body damage on the passenger door and fender and the car is white with bronze wheels which is my favorite look i just got the wheels and got them painted they are kosei k1s and i got some rt615's in a 215 45 16. Ive done some stuff to the engine if you have seen in my other posts....I just want to get a set of coilovers that will last and take abuse. And also are rebuildable.

the ideal setup for drifting is tight, the ideal setup for autocross or any other timed motor sport will be sifter, when drifting you want to consistantly break traction, with autocross etc you want to maintan traction

again I have no experience with K sport, I run tokiko inserts in modified strut housings with GC coil overs, none of these companies make kits for the s30

stiff isnt always good for grip

however, body roll is bad. You have to find a good compromise for not too stiff, becuase hten you will unload your tyres around corners. with a softer suspension you will maintain contact becuase of the lighter springrates allowing more travel of hte suspension

so no, stiff /= good all the time

and neither does megan or ksport
