Hi all, Ima new Infiniti m35x (2006) owner, I bought the car because I always wanted on and also to help keep the miles down on my new car I just purchased. I've never did any mods to any car I've owned so I'm new to this stuff, I ordered the Megan Exhaust Axle Back today and had a few questions. I wanted to know from people who have this system did you notice a change in acceleration? Cabin noise? Vibration?

Thanks in advance

I doubt you'll experience any added power...if anything it'll be placebo effect. What you will likely experience is the car feeling like it's 'breathing' better. But it's marginal.

You'll probably hear a little more noise when you accelerate WOT, but if you have tactile vibrations from new mufflers you either bought a horrible product or it's loose.

when you get your Megan's, it might be a good time to do a thorough check of your exhaust system before installing them. Check the Ypipe, Midpipes for any parts that are rusted and possibly broken or loose. Check the exhaust gaskets at the connection points of the exhaust pipes as well as the exhaust - rubber hangers (those age and can get brittle and break).

You'll hear a better tone than stock during start up and cruise, while at WOT it'll be noticeable but not obtrusive. Just be careful, it might just entice you to keep adding more to the exhaust in terms of upgrading more exhaust parts if you want to go louder

have fun with modding and welcome to NICO!

Appreciate the input. I figured that I didn't want it to be obnoxious just wanted a bit deeper tone and a little less restriction. I'm sure I'll continue to mod system as I go along but I still want to keep it classy and not too racy

You'll love the exhaust as it's not a noisy and loud system. It's only axle back so not much sound will come through the cabin (but you will hear a slight increase)! WOT is nicer, I really like the Megan Racing over most exhaust out there for our cars! I encountered a bit of metal to metal rattling where one of the mufflers was touching one of the tow hooks in the rear, I just unbolted and removed the one tow hook!
