Hello to all. I'm a new member here and had a question about coil overs. I am picking up my 2009 m45S tomorrow and I'm making a mod list. They are delivering it to me with Vossen wheels and I already have a K&N drop in. I am ordering a Megan cat back tomorrow and want to get the Megan coil overs. I am asking for ride impressions of the Megan street system. I love the stock ride and don't want to go Eibach because they don't make struts for them.
What are the ride impressions?

If you can find better springs to swap in, then go for it. Megan build quality is actually decent, but the spring rates they use are horrible. 8kg & 10kg are WAY too stiff. You will destroy the ride quality (and above 10kg risk destroying your spine and kidneys).

It all depends on what type of ride your looking for or even how many people will you be driving most of the time with.

I'm on D2 Racing coilovers, I have it set up for my family (wife & 2 girls). With everyone in the car I'm able to tuck a 285/30 tire on a 20x10 wheel.

While the ride got a little stiffer from the oem set up on bad city streets it has become a night & day difference on the highway (no more buick floating, even at very high speeds).

I now enjoy the car more with the coilover (looks much better) but I wish they would fix all the pot-holes in my town. :frown:

Thanks for your input guys. I do not want a stiff ride, I just want something more controlled.

the lower you go the stiffer you want or else you would be bottoming out on little bumps ! if you got the megans they are adjustable , mines halfway
