Ok, i got the front set on after 3 hours ( 1st time alone and went in blind ) and had to adjust the height like 4 times b4 i got the front end to sit as low as possible without the tires rubbing on anything and going for a test drive to make sure that the tires still have no rub or scrape anywhere.... When i noticed that the front end bounces very badly... I adjusted the stiffness knob on the top to H which is Zero on both sides and it was still bouncy.I then went ahead and compressed the spring another inch or so in hopes that it will stiffen up the front end but no change, its still bouncy..Is this a permanent thing or do i need to compress the spring even more..??

ThanksRobert

Hmm. That's weird. I had/have no probs w/ my megans.

I'm sure you've done this, but make sure all your bolts and everything on the coils are nice and tight.

Either you're setting your dampers to full soft accidentally, or you're just confusing "bounce" with "harsh ride due to stiff spring rates."

Loose nuts and bolts do not manifest as bouncy ride. Bouncy ride is a damper problem, or a pansy driver problem.

Ah, as i said in the 1st post, i set the dampers to FULL H which is full HARD. I dont know how u mistaked that for full soft. No im not confusing this bounce with a harsh ride cause my buddy down is S. Florida has these same coil-overs on his 98 and his does NOT bounce at all and his is set to H front and rear as mine is.. I cant get a hold of him cause he is in IRAQ... This is why i purchased these coil-overs cause i was very impressed with the way they felt and handled...

If this is a damper problem, then tell me how to fix it....... since u seem to know it all..

Well champ, there's exactly two possibilities here, seeing as you bought the same stuff as your friend and it's acting in a completely different manner.

1) You did something wrong. Double check (no really, double check) that you are setting the coilovers to full hard instead of full soft. I dont know what you mean by full hard being "zero on both sides," but with most coilovers, full counterclockwise is full soft and full clockwise is full stiff.

2) Your dampers are not broken in yet. Go drive around for 100 miles and see if the ride becomes better. New coilovers are notorious for being bouncier within the first couple hundred miles of their life.
