I just got my crank pulley back from the machine shop. It looks great. I had him remove the power steering place to put the trigger wheel. Pics coming after work.

Also, this machine shop guy is awesome and he is easy to work with. If anyone needs trigger wheels on crank pulleys and need help finding someone to do it please let me know. I have two extra crank pulleys and my friend who works at a junk yard can get plenty of the Ford EDIS trigger wheels.

$215 dollars plus shipping for one of these. minus 75$ if you have a crank pulley.

Not to be a d!ck, but holy crap, did you really get charged that much?! Thats outrageous. I got mine done for free, and I certainly wouldn't have paid more than $50 to have it done. Also, there are better places to have it mounted than where it removes the power steering.

You got yours for fee... that's why it sounds like a lot.

Seriously. find a machine shop that is willing to do it for 50 bucks. Unless you already know one or are friends with one. It can take awhile to find one. I had to go though nearly a dozen referrals though the places I called before I found one that would even do it.

If you look at what other people have payed..the_chosen_one - $200 machine workchausaster - $90 machine work

I payed $75 in machine work for mine. The reason I asked for $215 if someone needed help getting this is because: $75 for crank pulley, $20 to get trigger wheel, $75 for machine work, $45 dollars for time and running to and from machine shop, junk yard, post office.

Also, I have never run power steering on my car so I really didn't care.

To be honest I don't have power steering either. My steering effort is minimal with the little CA up there, even with big tires. I would probably want it for track days though, it would get really tiring. I have the option of reinstalling it though.

$75 is fair, you shouldn't feel cheated. I have a lot of 'necks around here willing to do it for cheap though. 'neck in his garage, possibly drinking heavily > reputable machine shop, as far as cheapness goes anyway.

And my car runs like crap, thank you. It never made it to get tuned properly before the oil pump crapped out no me. Its having the bottom end refreshed in a month, then its off to get tuned. I am still bombing around town in it though, so its not like its undrivable.

pff, I drive my car all over the place. 500 miles is no problem as long as its at a decent clip.

Note for MegaSquirt people, DO NOT mount the IAT sensor in the intake manifold. It WILL heatsoak like a mofo on long trips if there is a significant amount of stopping or slow speeds involved. MSII was pulling timing pretty bad and my EGTs went up ~250 degrees F over an hour and a half. Too bad it looks so damn sexy mounted where it is now.
