Hey folks,

I'd like to take a minute and welcome Larz to the moderator team.

With me trading in my 2007 M35x for a 2011 M56x, I have been much more active on the other M forum than this one lately as I learn that car, etc. Wideopn11 is the other Y51 moderator, and although he checks in here regularly, we're both more active on that other forum. Szh also visits us  .

This left a 'hole' of sorts in this forum from a moderator point of view. Thankfully, we have some good members here and Larz is one of them.

That being said, I'd like to thank all of you for being good members and not requiring much 'policing'. We have a good group here who is well behaved, polite, and quite knowledgeable. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the update. I've always appreciated both your's and Larz's posts on this site and have found them very valuable. Enjoy the new car!

Thanks Ilya!

I'm quite pleased to be asked and honored to be of service. I'm excited that you might be getting the Osram 66240 CBIs that some of us have. You will be absolutely shocked at the difference in night driving. No need for the 50w ballasts if you get the CBIs cuz they perform like 50w bulbs.

Yes sir, might actually order them tonight :bigthumb:

EDIT: In fact, I just ordered them and found a discount code online (8thGen10) and saved a few bucks (10%). Got the lights for $169 after shipping. They are $185 before shipping.

Congrats, Larz! You have been a great and very active contributor to Nicoclub, and it does not surprise me at all that you were chosen for the honor of moderating.

I wish you the best, and I hope you will have a speedy health recovery.

Couldn't agree with Moedawg more...Larz has consistently given back to this forum both in knowledge and material items (LEDs, navigation discs, etc) as well as encouraging others to do so.

I will miss Ilya's comments and contributions as well.

Thank You kind sirs, one and all ! I have benefited from advice from all of you lot as well. Ilya, I predict that after you install the CBIs, you will be pressuring your mates and family to drive you car at night as you appear to live in an area without crime lights where these bulbs are most impressive!

Thank you also for the health wishes. In my 13th week of therapy I am now cleared for 20 pounds weight bearing on my left side, have now gained back 60% use of my left arm and shoulder, 75% range of motion in my cervical spine, and just Tuesday I was cleared to begin daily running again (though not even close to my usual 3 miles for quite some time). Super Turtle is definitely coming back !

Early next year I shall begin some mods on the new M and the pics and DIYs will ensue!

Hey guys this is great news! Congrats Larz. I'm definitely glad we still have a dedicated moderator. You know the forum is a great one if nico is still throwing mods at it. Most have shared mods and the swing by rarely.
