Hello All,

Posting a meet and swap meet for all interested.

Date: February 4, Sunday 2007 - All day.

I was able to get a permission from a speedshop in Linden NJ to hold a meet. They have an available parking lot that can hold 50 - 70 cars. The shop is right on RT 1-9. The location is no more than two miles as soon as you get off exit 13 on the NJ turnpike. This should be very accessable and easy to find for everyone interested. They're usually closed on Sundays, but I should be able to ask the shop to have people present to run their dyno. Specific details of the address and everything else will be posted soon.

Here's some details at this point.

- I am in talks with them for us to get a very good deal on baseline dyno runs. I will post soon the price and amount of runs or hours for the price soon. They are using a dynapak dynapack (see at http://www.dynopak.com). They do dyno tuning and ECU reprogs there too, if you are interested. But that may be done on another day as that may not leave enough time for everyone else who want to do just baseline. You can talk to them about that and maybe get a "raincheck" rate if you lock it in that day. - It is a swap meet so bring your stuff you want to get rid off, maybe people who are looking to do things for the winter would want it. No business entities please, just what we can pack in our trunks :-) - I will request too, that a donation be made by the shop from proceeds of any dyno customers from our meet. It will be of the customer's choice (the internet forum/club) to whom the donation be made. That way it will also benefit our server hosts and moderators. - Please observe and obey local laws. They have not had any problems (or their customers) with local PD, and they ask that it be retained. They are on a highway and it is a sunday so there might not be too much traffic, so they ask that we keep ourselves in check. - I have extended this invite to 3 other Nissan Enthusiasts sites so far. I will try to find more....

Just to clarify. I am not an employee of the shop. I just figured it'd be a good way for us to meet instead of local restaurants or parking lots where we run the risk of getting in trouble with the owners. MOST DEFINITELY, no proceeds are being sent to me - commissions or anythng like that :-)

Please chime in if you feel like you can come. Suggestions & comments pls.

Thanks.

Cool :-)

Finally get to meet you. I saw your car parked at E-town, couple months ago. But I was already on my way out, so i did not have time to see what was up....

Hello all,

More details on the meet:

- Address of the meet: Wired Electronics & Performance601 East Edgar Road (also known as Rt 1-9 south)Linden, NJ 07036http://www.wirednj.com

- Time: From 8am - 6pm February 4, 2007 Sunday

- Directions: Use New Jersey turnpike, exit 13 (same whether north bound or south bound). After exit follow signs to Rt 1-9 South. Once on 1-9 south stay on right lane. Parking lot for Wired is just on your right no more than 1/4 mile. It's roughly 1 1/2 mile from the time you exit the turnpike. There's no need to exit from 1-9 S, the shop and parking lot is on 1-9 south. I will try to put banners for the meet for easy spotting. You can't miss it!! If you're on the Garden State Parkway get off on exit 129 (i'm pretty sure), anyway it will have a sign for NJ Turnpike), and get on the NJ Turnpike North. Then follow above...

- DYNO runs:Dyno run deal for meet attendies is $90.00 for three runs. Baseline dyno service only, no tuning involved. (If you would like to have dyno/tuning/reprog/mapping etc.. I would suggest discussing that with the shop.)

- Donation: For each dyno run customer, $5.00 of the charge will be donated by wired to the forum/website/moderator of the customer's choice.

- Big PLUS:Wired will be awarding a $100.00 gift certificate/Store credit (for use on any store merchandise or service) to the dyno customer who will post the highest horsepower from their runs!!!!!

- I'll try to see if i can bring a cooler for sodas and a coffee maker for coffees.

- When you arrive at the location, please see me or go into the shop to log in your slot for the dyno run, first come first serve.

Everyone, let's try to make this a success so we can have another!

****keep checkin for more updates****

Thanks for the help on spreading the word. I'm sure they'd be happy to see you again. BTW, I have this posted on the KA-t.org, Nissanminis & teamnse site. I was hoping if I can ask everyone who has read this thread and are (at least) condsidering to attend to please chime in as I am trying to get a count. If you are coming with buddies (whether nissan or not ) to please include them on your count.

Thanks.

Hello guys (& ladies, if any)....

Looks like we're not getting a good count. I would like everyone to please again give a head count. Let's say, final count on Tuesday. Depending on the count, I will re-post on wednesday and see where this is going....

This will be posted on 240sx.org, nissanminis.com, ka-t.org & teamnse.net

So far the most response is from teamnse. Nothing on the minis, and maybe a few on both ka-t & 240sx.org

So please respond if you are attending (even if you have responded before). I know this is Superbowl sunday, so it looks like it will be an early thing, maybe 8am to 4pm? It's no big deal if we need to cancel this becasue of lack of interest, I just want to be fair to the guys driving from a far...

I would appreciate your response (if attending). Thanks.

Just a heads up on everyone. This MEET & SWAP for Sunday Feb. 4, 2007 is CANCELLED.Unfortunately, there's not enough count and response. We had no more than 10 Nissan responses and maybe 6 of other brand cars (buddies of Nissan attendees). For four web forums, thats pretty discouraging. So this being considered, plus the weather, it's best to just Cancel.

Thanks to all who showed interest......

Dude, you're telling me no one else would've wanted this to be a success than me, specially after I ask the shop for its parking lot and asking hem to open on a Sunday. Unfortunately, I the count is really low despite the invite going to 4 different Nissan sites. Anyways.....

I do have an update. Since they were expecting us this Sunday, and have already had people coming to open up the shop, Wired has decided to open up still on Sunday and will have customer cars and will put an invite out for that day to a bunch of different groups. So if you or anybody would want to hang out there you can definitely do so. From what i was told they are expecting a lot of cars. They actually have a couple of very nice 240s themselves.
