Oh God I love the sound on that thing. ITS AWESOME! And I love the fact that's its a quiet yet gutsy exhaust. It sounds so angry yet composed like a mustang. And its under 93db , so no problems with it being street legal

Man I'm gonna be broke when I'm done with my coupe lol

Here's another video of the Medallion touring exhaust. *drools*http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...lated

Cali people, did you see this?? Although I have no idea where Torrance is...says they need an '08 Altima Coupe 3.5SE for springs/exhaust/wheels R&D.

http://www.tanabe-usa.com/rnd.asp

Tanabe USA needs test vehicles for Research & Development. That way we can offer new and updated parts for your vehicle.

Requirements:

Vehicle MUST be stock (NO MODIFICATIONS). Must be local. Near or within the city of Torrance, CA. Vehicle must be available for up to 2 days. No accidents. A clean vehicle with minimal physical blemishes.

Next R&D Session: December 2007

They already tested my friends Altima Coupe 3.5 while I was with him. And I saw the g37 being tested as well.

Note: They also tested the springs while it was there, but it did not fit.

Yes he can, but I am sure Tanabe will upload them to there site as they took pictures. They definitely look better then the stock exhaust, a bigger hole as well. Looks more sporty in my opinion.

i think I like this the most, deep sound w/o too much noise when driving around neighborhoods at night. I never liked ppl driving with loud exhaust waking me up hehe. The loud exhaust will be sure to attract cops

Tanabe is a very solid, reputable brand. I'm glad they've decided to make an exhaust for the Altima's. I wonder if one for the sedan will be available because I'd probably end up with it. I'd really like for HKS or GReddy to make one, but I know that's not happening. I'd be happy with the Tanabe though

Torrance I believe is considered a suburb of LA.

Actually there might be an exhaust that system that might be released by Mossy Performance (created by Stromung engineering) for the sedan but I can't post the link x_X

I can post pic's though. Here's on one the 3.5

Here's the 2.5

Seems both will be offered in axle and catback.

Which model were you looking at for Greddy? The TI-C should be ready within 2-3 months. I will let you know when as they need to call me back up for an appointment to put them on.

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot you had a sedan. Its only designed to fit the AC 3.5 since its a full system.

mchedaddi,i spoke with an authorized Tanabe dealer today and he stated that Tanabe was releasing an axle back system, not a cat back... any confirmation or deial of this from your sources? Also, when they say "full" system, apparently, they are just talking about the muffler and the tip, at least that's what I was told. Can you confirm this?

Like I said in my other thread, it is an axle back - zerothread/299455

The axle back gives about 5 HP and 6 Torque, which isn't to bad for just that part.

This is what it replaced(The old axle back on the 3.5SE)

It uses factory hang ons, so its pretty simple to install yourself.

And you get awesome deep tone sound

Oh! I see, then they should change their youtube video, because it says catback in it

Dexion, I really like the look of those tips. Are they 3.5" or 4"? It reminds me of the 350Z/G35 tips, which I really like. Unlike our factory ones which have the 2" pipe extending through it

Do you know if that's going to be a true cat-back? And what about price and release date?
