I wouldn't suspect it in an Infiniti, but I did once use to own a German Luxo brand where one time the driver seat came slightly off the track and another time a penny got stuck in the track. If possible check your seat track carefully with a flash light. You may even want to lubricate the track with WD40 or liquid wrench. I'm not familiar with the power seat switch on the I30, it may be a plug and play one. If it is plug and play and the switch needs replacing (i.e. short-circuit from a beverage drip) you can buy the part and do-it-yourself.
Also, if you regularly have had your vehicle serviced at the same Infiniti dealer, they may do a goodwill repair for freen even if it is out of warranty. It has happened to me.
