I have an 89' 240sx and I just put in a 96' Ka24de! I put in everything off a 96'. Like the engine, transmission, ECU, wiring Harness, MAF, and distributor all off the 96'. I have spent about five days just messing with it and I can't get it to start. There is absoloutely no fire at the distributor. I can here my fuel filter kick on, but when I pull the wire off the plug on the engine I don't smell any gas. I tightned the ECU all the way down, and made sure that everything was connected that I could see. The engine just cranks and cranks but doesn't turn on. Any help is greatly appreciated! Just throw any suggestions out so that I can try them! Thanks! :help

First off make sure you didn't make the same mistake I just did ... had the fuel delivery line hooked to the fuel pressure regulator. The *return* fuel line goes there!

Once you have gas going to the fuel rail and injectors properly, if it still won't start at all check and make sure you have spark at the plugs. If you do ... and you're sure your timing is close to being right, then you could spray a little bit of starting fluid into the air intake and se if it catches. If it does you're back to a fuel delivery problem.

Just check those fuel lines first ;)

I'm gonna do that! Can you describe the line that connects to the fuel rail! I think maybe I connected the line that comes from the fuel filter in a wrong place! If I connected it wrong I wouldn't get a spark due to no fuel right? Thanks!

The line coming up from the fuel filter is the side that comes from the fuel pump (the delivery line). The other line is the return line. The return line must go to the fuel pressure regulator which is mounted on the back end of the fuel rail.

If they're hooked up backwards no gas will flow into the fuel rail,so no gas gets to the injectors.
