I have a 1990 300ZX 2+2 NA. I'd like to take it to a mechanic to find the root cause of engine oil leak - very slow leak, doe snot cause any problem except bad odor inside the car on cold days. Can someone recommend a good 300ZX dependable mechanic in Boston MA area?
Thanks!

Sorry again about no EC knowledge, but I will toss out a thought for your oil leak- rear main seal.
The rear (and front) seal is a very common issue with our older cars and the heat the rear gets with the clutch/trans there, and the rears typically weep a little here and there which collects on the trans bellhousing and shrouds and may not hit the concrete to alert you. The front will collect in the timing cover until enough is lost to leak past.
A look under the car (hard I know!) at the rear of front tires/mid-front of car should show the lowest thing there- the trans bellhousing/engine undershroud- and you can look for a little oil film and buildup at the joint of housing and shroud that then gets filled with dirt/debris. It also may just look oily and dirty in a small area if your shroud is clean otherwise.
Not scientific but may give you an idea of Yea or Nay, and for free...and c'mon Boston guys, post up the good Z guys already! :chuckle:
